Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Solar Quote Finder Australia website and enquiry service. By using the site or submitting an enquiry, you agree to them.
1. What this service is
We are an independent comparison and referral service. We connect people and businesses who want solar or battery quotes with accredited installers who service their area. We are not an installer, electrical contractor, retailer, energy retailer, credit provider, licensed financial adviser, tax agent or accountant. We do not design, supply, install, maintain or finance solar systems.
2. What we do and don't promise
- We aim to match you with suitable accredited installers, but we can't guarantee a specific number of quotes, a specific installer, a particular price, a timeframe, or that any installer will choose to quote your job.
- Availability depends on your location and the type of work. In some areas or for some jobs, there may be no suitable installer available.
- We don't set prices, prepare quotes, or control what an installer offers you.
- We may decline or remove an enquiry — for example if it appears fraudulent, automated, duplicated, submitted by a competitor, or submitted without the property owner's knowledge.
3. Your obligations
- Give us accurate information, and only submit an enquiry for a property you own, occupy, operate, or are otherwise authorised to seek quotes for.
- Don't submit someone else's details without their permission.
- Don't use the site to scrape data, probe security, submit automated or bulk enquiries, or gather competitive intelligence.
- Only upload documents you have the right to share, and don't upload anything containing payment credentials, identity documents or other sensitive information we haven't asked for.
4. Your relationship with installers is direct
Any quote, contract, deposit, payment, installation, warranty, service, complaint or dispute is between you and the installer. We are not a party to it, we don't act as agent for either side, and we're not responsible for an installer's conduct, workmanship, pricing, representations, solvency or compliance. Do your own due diligence: check licences and accreditation, read the contract, and don't pay a deposit you're not comfortable with.
5. Information on this site is general only
Content on this site — including any figures, charts, comparisons, examples, guides or commentary about rebates, incentives, savings, payback, finance or tax — is general information and illustration only. It is not a quote, an offer, a projection, or financial, credit, tax, legal or engineering advice, and it doesn't take your circumstances into account.
Government incentive programs, including the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme and state and territory programs, are set by government and change. Where we describe an announced change, we describe it as announced; announcements are not law until the relevant instruments are made. Always confirm current eligibility with your installer and the relevant authority, and get your own advice before making a financial decision.
6. Referral fees
Our service is free to you. We're paid by installers when we refer a genuine, matched enquiry. This does not change what you pay an installer, and we don't receive a commission on the sale price of a system. We disclose this openly because you should know how any comparison service makes its money.
7. Third-party links and services
The site uses third-party services (for example address lookup, hosting, analytics and advertising measurement) and may link to third-party sites. We don't control them and we're not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
8. Intellectual property
The site, its content, layout, copy and code are owned by us or our licensors. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not copy, republish, resell or systematically extract any part of the site without our written permission.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where we are permitted to limit liability, our liability is limited to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of resupply.
10. Liability
Subject to clause 9 and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss arising from your dealings with an installer, your reliance on general information published on this site, or interruptions to the site.
11. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
12. Changes and termination
We may change these terms, and may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site, at any time. The current version applies each time you use the site.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and of the state or territory in which we are based, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
